Each piece of hardware is backed by a separate warranty directly from its manufacturer. It’s crucial to pay close attention to the details in this section as improper care can lead to the voiding of your product’s manufacturer warranty.

The hardware used for your enclosure is constructed of solid brass and plated with a metal finish to complement your decor. Frameless enclosures have limited hardware, so it’s crucial to use only brass fittings for proper structural security. The fittings are designed to be exposed to water daily and are treated with a clear lacquer finish to prevent tarnishing. It’s important to maintain the lacquer properly according to the manufacturer’s guidelines to avoid premature pitting and to uphold the warranties. Use only mild cleaners, such as a gentle dish detergent, to clean the hardware. (SEE SEPARATE CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS)
Important note: the following conditions have been found to cause premature failure of finishes- in these cases, neither manufacturer nor Mirage Mirror & Glass is to be held responsible, as it is a situation beyond our control. Any hardware with signs of pitting or finish failure will be submitted to the manufacturer to determine if the product had come in contact with any oxidizing agent or other compound causing finish failure.
- Water containing chlorine (i.e. This is the case in some locations with town water‐ however generally not enough chlorine is present to pose a problem‐ if you have town water, and chlorine is known to be used, please wipe down your fittings after each use of shower).
- Contact with salts (please note, many “green” products include salts in their product recipe. These products are not safe for your hardware and will void warranty!)
